August 14, 2003 If you discover a new bug, please post it and the fix, if one is available, at MudWorld on its forums. Make sure to post bugs in their appropriate discussions. Samson and Zebeid provided additional ResortMUD specific bugs not listed here. Thank you!
It started long ago with a man named Thoric. He sooned gathered various wise men and women who knew the ways of administrators, builders and programmers. These people gave life to SMAUG and as SMAUG developed it became one of the most downloaded codebases in history. MudWorld offers the revised version of SMAUG which includes various popular features from other common codebases. Will we update if the SMAUG Developement team releases a new codebase? Who knows, but it would seem logical that a new SMAUG release would incorporate our changes and we would no longer be needed at that point for atleast a Linux distribution.
NOTE: If you plan on using Windows and not a Unix/Linux machine with a newer version of GCC compiler using newer versions of Debian or RedHat, do not expect any help with support since we did not design these revisions elsewhere and do not have experience with other systems. Howevery, for general Linux questions pertaining to SMAUG, feel free to utilize the SMAUG Mailing List.
