Jpilot jIRC Applet and Joot Terminal Emulator only supports Netscape 4.0, Explorer 4.0 or above. Please grant the permission when the pop up window appears from NS or IE. We are not responsible for the content of the IRC or MUD channels, please use your own common sense when entering them. There are currently no set rules to the use of the Java IRC & MUD Clients. We recommend that you try to avoid anything that may upset anyone. We also recommend when you log in that you have a good attitude and take what is said with a grain of salt. Closing the screens as well as disconnecting will end your chat/MUD sessions. Also keep in mind everything is logged when you use either client. Thank you for visiting the HNE Java Center. All you have to do is enter the information the Java IRC Client asks, click on the "Connect Now!" button to login to the server and channel you selected.
(It may ask you to download the small configuration file if you do not already have it.) FAQ: A - What does the "Option" button do when in a channel? 1. Allows you to change the channel. 2. Allows you to set your name, otherwise it shows as Guest#.
B - What if I click on one of the names listed?
The HNE Java IRC - jIRC Frontend is a free web addon that is made by Chris Haslage for jIRC 2.5+. It gives jIRC a bit more feeling of control with a GUI atmosphere and some mIRC impliments by using JavaScript. This frontend is being used on many web sites, and you can use this on yours too! NOTE: This is just a frontend and not a way to register jIRC for free. Please register your copy of jIRC if you have not done so already. It is a great program!

All you have to do is enter the information the MUD asks, there will be a bar at the bottom of the screen which will show what you input.
