AboutUs

Haslage Net Electronics is the blockbuster team that is lead by Anthony Russell Haslage and Christopher Aaron Haslage. This is their story.

Haslage Net Electronics began in Lorain, Ohio in 1986 and was called H&H. Back then, H&H would perform odd-jobs for neighbors such as mowing lawns, shoveling snow and raking leaves. Two years later, Christopher acquired some basic computer skills from school and obtained a Commodore 64. They were now in the computer business. They added the word Electronics to H&H and became H&H Electronics.

H&H Electronics did more than just odd-jobs, they made banners and posters for local businesses. They acquired gratuities for it, such as a few dollars towards office equipment. On the side, Christopher would play games on his Commodore 64 and he discovered the world of MUDs (Multi-User Domains). Text adventure games that many people on the Internet would visit to escape the normal, hum-drum day. Christopher played on MUDs for about three months on the local Free-Net until Anthony found out. This discovery would make them world known.

They started playing on MUDs to the extent of making groups of followers called 'clans'. Newbie Knights formed in 1992 on the MUD Death's Domain and moved to Perilous Realms when Death's Domain closed its doors. This started the ball rolling to take H&H Electronics to the Internet. Christopher soon borrowed an IBM 486 personal computer from a friend and started Kilokahn's World O' Wonder (KKWOW). Soon after that, Anthony needed a web site for Newbie Knights that turned into UCPR (United Clans of Perilous Realms). Then UCPR soon evolved into UCMM (United Clans of Multiple MUDsites) when the Newbie Knights expanded to multiple MUDs. With a few changes, UCMM turned into United Council of Multiple MUDsites.

In 1997, Anthony and Christopher started a MUD of their own known as ResortMUD (RM) and Anthony obtained control of the IMC2 Network and renamed it the WIN (World IMC Network). In 1998, Anthony obtained the MUD resource known as MSRP (MUD Staff Resource Page) and added AMRO (Affiliated MUD Resource Organization) as a resource to list other MUD resources. It was about this time that H&H Electronics became Haslage Net Electronics and obtained its own web site.

In 1999, AMRO, UCMM, MSRP, RM and WIN became known as a part of MudWorld and its first new addition was a web site known as the MUD Journal (TMJ). MudWorld grew steadily, absorbed other MUD related web sites and changed over time until it was closed at the end of 2006. ResortMUD closed its doors near the end of 2007.

In 2005, Kilokahn's World 'O Wonder started a project to have Animalympics' creators to release the animated movie's soundtrack on compact disc. In 2006, KKWOW began a project known as the Retro Emulation Station (RES). In 2008, the RES machine made it debut at an Ohio anime convention. To this day, KKWOW is still under construction.

Details about individual web sites can be found on their respective pages.
